Our Story

Originally formed in 1970 it’s fair to say we’ve grown up around these parts and have been here to roll up our sleeves as the region’s been shaped and developed into what it is today.

Having started out with a focus on all things bulk and agricultural(think fertiliser, metal), as the region’s requirements evolved from the more rural, so too have our capabilities, to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers and community.

After 45 years in the stewardship of the founders, in 2015 Transcon welcomed a new generation of ownership when Blake Noble became its current Managing Director. Under the new guard the business has continued to pay close attention to the needs of the region and community, and proactively continues to instil the same values of agile and responsive service and skill that Transcon was founded upon.

Today Transcon calls Warkworth home, with 20 team members located across the greater Auckland, Whangaparaoa, Rodney, and Otamatea regions. It’s fair to say that we definitely know our Takatu from our Takapuna, our Manukau from our Mangawhai, and our Kaiwaka from our Karaka.
